Aid for Youth In the field of Entrepreneurship

Our government has always encourage our youths to be more self  reliant and self sufficient  Among the frields that has always been focused on is the entrepreneurial field. Recently our Prime Minister have announced that an initiatives was on it's way to ease  young people to jump start their business ventures which will be under the handling of SME Bank (To read more,click HERE) .

Following this, SME Bank’s operations chief for Kota Kinabalu, Mohd Asri Abu Hanit urged youths and operators of local small and medium industries (SMIs) in Sabah have been urged to take the opportunity and apply for fundings through the various loan products offered by SME Bank Bhd (SME Bank). Making this call, he (Asri) stated that these funds are intended to help young people and SMIs keen to start or have already started their businesses.

SME Bank has been regularly providing assistance to them via various syariah based financial schemes. These funds were established by the government as an alternative for young entrepreneurs in getting the financing to start their businesses or to cater to the needs of an existing business.

The briefing was held for a group of youths and entrepreneurs in conjunction with a roadshow on SME Bank’s Young Entrepreneur Fund programme, which was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on February 15.

Apart from that, another avenue that youth can look for assistance in the form of training and sharing ideas is The Sabah Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development Link (SeedLink) which was recently launched. SEEDlink as introduced by  Sabah West Coast Entrepreneur Network Association (SEA). It serves as a networking platform for entrepreneurship stakeholders to link up all members and available resources.

Resource Development and Information Technology Minister, Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai made the call that that the Government have lined up various programmes and training in order to help their business as well as to  expand their thinking and  philosophy. (Click HERE to read more)
