Young Entrepreneur Fund: Helping youth in the fields of entrepreneur

More cheers for the local youths whom are keen to get involved in the field of  entrepreneurship. the government had also launched the Young Entrepreneur Fund which will be manage by SME Bank. 

The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Friday ( 15 February) had announced two (2) initiatives to ease the needy (Click HERE) and young people to jump start their business venture(s).  These initiatives had been announced during the tabling of the 2013 Budget.  

Facts on Young Entrepreneur Fund

  • Aimed to assist youth aged 30 and below to start off their business. 
  • the purpose of this fund is to generate more successful youth in the fields of entrepreneur. 

What does SME Bank Managing Director have to say on this?

  • RM50 Million Fund would provide financing of RM50,000 to RM100,000 to those who are eligible with a repayment period up to seven (7) years which includes one (1) year grace period. 
  • Those given the loan are required to attend a four (4) day entrepreneurial course under facilitated by SME Bank.
  • The criteria that will be look into are as follows:
    1. Malaysians aged between 18 - 30. 
    2. Owned a business and
    3. possessed at least an entrepreneurial or vocational certificate.
