Chicken Price in Sabah remains under controlled

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

In SABAH, although the price of chicken in other states in the peninsula rose suddenly, but the price of chicken here is still controlled and not sold passed the set ceiling price.

Overview of the 'Pasar Besar' in Kota Kinabalu, and other neighbouring markets have, on average found out to be that chicken's were sold under the price ceilings.

Merchants however still received profit even though selling under the set price.

Although the supply and demand of chickens might have slowed down as it turns out to be the fasting month.

Foundings by newspaper reporters also have found out that the price of chickens in major supermarkets remains the same for most areas.

In contrast, suppliers have gained a great increase in demand as many Ramadan Bazaar operators are buying their raw food supplies there.

Overall, there are no significant chicken price increase in Sabah.
