With the increasing demand of customers nationwide, Bank Pertanian Malaysia Bhd (Agrobank) has answered the call to meet this demand in the foothills of Mount Kinabalu. Staying true to it's commitment in providing modern banking service to the rural community, it is most befitting that they have take up the challenge to meet the growing demands in one of Sabah's agricultural area such as the district of Ranau.
Agrobank has expanded its network of branches with the establishment of a new facility in Ranau; joining the ranks of existing banking institution such as CIMB Bank and Bank Simpanan Nasional. In view of Ranau's locality, which is a major stopover for vehicles going to Tawau, Semporna, Lahad Datu and Sandakan, the establishment if the facility is deemed timely and at the same time strategic.
The branch opening was officiated by the state Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment as well as the state assemblyman for Karanaan (Ranau), Datuk Masidi Manjun (on Monday, 25 February 2013) flanked by the President/ Agrobank Chief Executive Officer Datuk Wan Mohd Fadzmi and the Ranau District Officer, Faimin Kamin. Wan Mohd Fadzmi commented that the opening of new branches was implemented in stages and at strategic locations to ensure strong growth from the aspect of banking operations, while aimed at the growing target groups throughout the country.
The Ranau Agrobank branch which operates from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Friday, offers various financial services alongside banking, deposit and loan facilities, insurance coverage as well as ATM and cheque deposit machines (CDMs).
