Sabah police commercial crime chief Superintendent Saiman Kasran (photo) said the online business carried out by the popular web-based company was reported to have cheated numerous buyers.

He said this had resulted in many of them being scammed of thousands of ringgit since last year, with no refund of payment and products received.

“Although the number of cases had yet to reach an alarming stage, we are on the lookout of those involved in this scam,” he told Bernama Monday.

The online business by the company has lured thousands of online buyers with their attractive product promotion, including properties, electrical appliances, cars and jobs.

Its modus operandi is selling and buying products online, involving online buyers.

Meanwhile, an online complainant who wished to be identified only as ‘Rosli Yussof’ said he had ordered two pairs of clothes online as advertised by the company and was promised delivery within a week.

“But after two to three weeks, there was nothing whatsoever. A friend, meanwhile, lost almost RM10,000 in two online business transactions,” he claimed.
