Proton Holdings Bhd offers Car price reduction following Government Manifesto

Initiatives made by Proton Holdings Bhd offer car price reduction allowing Malaysians to enjoy the government's promises made before the 13th General Election (GE) a while ago.

Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said Proton has responded well our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for the past GE 13 manifestos.

Proton has the Prime Minister's call to lower the price of Proton 1.3 of RM5, 000 and this allows Malaysians to afford owning a car.

In this regard, he hopes that other car companies will follow suit equally lowering car prices for the pleasure of the people.

"Proton has already lowered in price, so I hope other companies make Proton as an example and will come forward to reduce the price of cars," he said.

Ahmad Bashah said the price of other cars will be reduced in stages.

On 13 June, the Malaysian Proton offering a variant of its cars to be sold at lower prices and affordable for all Malaysians.
