KINABALU: The Government Transformation Programme (GTP) 2.0 is poised
to further boost Sabah’s socio-economic transformation with more
participation from non-governmental organisations and the corporate
sector.
Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, said the focus of the GTP 2.0 would be on addressing the rising cost of living, improving rural development and raising the living standards of low-income households.
“A new initiative under this roadmap which we very much welcomed is the 21th Century Village which focuses on developing the agriculture, tourism, plantation and cottage industries,” he said at the GTP Roadmap 2.0 Open Day here yesterday.
Musa, who was also state finance minister, said in the last three years, the initiatives under GTP had made a big impact on Sabahans. He said under the Rural Basic Infrastucture National Key Results Areas, villages in rural areas were now well-connected, enabling the state government to provide water and electricity to them.
“It has enriched their lives and offer new opportunities and equal opportunities as Malaysians.
“While much has been achieved under the GTP so far, we must not rest on our laurels and we have to continue to innovate.
“This is the role of GTP 2.0 …it is designed to take the achievements of our initial work to the next level,” he said.
Musa said the GTP 2.0 would see even more significant changes with focus on economic empowerment of individuals and communities, thus providing more than just temporary relief of the people’s burdens.

saya harap GTP 2.0 yang bermatlamat menangani peningkatan kos hidup, meningkatkan standard pembangunan luar bandar serta untuk menaikkan standard hidup golongan isi rumah berpendapatan rendah dapat dicapai sepenuhnya..
