A manifestation of putting words into action 'People first, Performance now' (under the rental and resettlement programme) RM2.25 million has been allocated for the purpose of beautification of Sabah's first housing settlement, Taman Perumahan Keramat.
During the launching the 7th National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS 7): Neighbourhood Beautification programme at Taman Keramat Saturday (13 April 2013) , Plantation Industries and Commodities minister Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said that the allocation would cover costs for:
a) rehabilitating the buildings,
b) improving the drainage system,
c) electrical wiring,
d) construction of a futsal court, and
e) upgrading the road and parking area.
Under the programme, the Housing Ministry and state Local Government and Housing Ministry would collaborate in four endeavours:
a) to rehabilitate public housing,
b) rebuild houses destroyed by fire,
c) beautify public places and resolve pending issues in the NBOS 6, and
d) involving low-cost houses and longhouses.
