TAWAU: About 150 people from Tanjung Batu area received the RM300 Karisma @ Hati Rakyat voucher from Tanjung Batu assemblywoman Datuk Hamisa Samat yesterday.

Hamisa said the voucher is yet another form of aid from the government for the poor and advised them to use it to buy rice and other essentials for their family.

She said there is no such aid in other countries and this showed that the Barisan Nasional government is the best as it cares for the people.

Hamisa called on those who received the voucher and other aids such as BR1M to keep on supporting the government so that it could continue to help them.

On the setting up of the Eastern Sabah Safety Zone (ESSZONE), she said it is fully supported by the people as they feel more secure and safe from terrorist invasion.

She said it is also good that the Chief Minister will be the chairman as it would further boost confidence of the people.

Hamisa added the allocation of RM200 million for the ESSZONE showed the government is very concerned for the safety of Sabah people, especially in the East Coast.

“I understand there will be unmanned aerial vehicles, attack helicopters and fast boats. This will definitely boost the security at our maritime borders,” she added.
