THE Sabah government appreciates the cooperation, support and
commitment of federal government agencies such as Customs Department in
developing the state's economy. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman
said the support and commitment had contributed significantly to the
development of Sabah in various sectors.
He said the Sabah Customs Economic Model was in line with the government aim to drive the economy, trade and high impact investment. "The economic model involves the creation of Free Trade Zones, Free Industrial Zones, Inland Ports, new port of Kota Marudu and the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine and Security Complex," he said when opening the Directors of Customs meeting here today. !Musa's speech was delivered by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of State for Infrastructure Development, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.
