KOTA KINABALU: The state civil service was told to step up its efforts to ensure the continued success of the Government Transformation Programme, which is entering a new phase.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman yesterday said despite achievements over the past two years, they should not rest on their laurels and should continue to innovate.

He said this during the GTP 2.0 Roadmap Open Day conducted by the Prime Minister's Department's Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu).

"This is the role of the GTP 2.0. It is designed to take the achievements of our initial work to the next level. It will focus on plugging existing leaks within the system and refining delivery methods.

"Refinement, improvement, enhancement and macro-focus are major keywords that will set the direction over the next three years."

He said the people could expect significant changes such as economic empowerment of individuals and communities through the GTP 2.0.

  1. the best about GTP 2.0 is the government hope to achieve 90 per cent accessibility to IT in Sabah by 2015.. the government will focus more on the use of IT to get the people out of the vicious circle of poverty..
