2011 was a tough year for global economy, no doubt about that. The world economy and political development has its own 'spill-over' effect towards the countries in South-East Asia, but luckily for Malaysia, no obvious effect, in terms of economy, shown.

Sabah also remain unscathed despite the poor performance of global economy. Under the helm of Musa Aman, Sabah economy continue to grow stronger, supported by good, efficient and accountable financial management (as prove by the recognition given by the Auditor-General's), oil palm industry, rubber, crude petroleum and process woods. The huge investment opportunity in the downstream segments, especially in oil and gas sectors also capable of making Sabah as one of the leading downstream centres in Borneo.

The statement made by the President of the Federation of Chinese Associations cum Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Datuk Seri Panglima Sari Nuar, who acknowledging the leadership ability of the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman who has turned around the state coffer from deficit "when he assumed office to the handsome surplus" today, is a prove that the business community approving both Musa Aman leadership and the state's economy performance.
Long story short, Sabah is on the right track to become one of the most economic thriving states in Malaysia!
i can see a bright future for sabah in this 2012.
