KUCHING: Mothers travelling onboard Malindo Air with at least one family member on Mother’s Day are in for a special treat as the country’s first hybrid airline is offering mothers a chance to be upgraded to business class and enjoy the airline’s premier service this Sunday, May 12, 2013.
According to a press statement, the gesture
was the airlines’ way of celebrating this special day with mothers who
flew Malindo Air.
To stand a chance to be upgraded, mothers
travelling with at least one family member on a single booking and
Passenger Name Record (PNR) will be invited to complete a data card with
their name and other details upon check-in.
The completed cards
will then be dropped into a box placed on the counter. Once the check-in
counter is closed, the box will be brought onboard the aircraft and
handed over to the cabin crew. Once all the passengers board the
aircraft, the cabin crew will draw the names of the lucky mothers who
will be upgraded to business class.
Malindo air chief executive
officer Chandran Rama Murthy said this gesture to mothers on Mother’s
Day was part of the airline’s commitment to build a strong emotional
connection between the brand and passengers that engendered loyalty,
create memorable experiences and bring the romance of travel back to the
skies.
“As an airline brand, we hope to offer those who fly
Malindo Air a platform to share connections and build memorable
experiences with an airline founded on the foundations of Asian
hospitality, world class service and innovative products,” he concluded.
