KOTA KINABALU : Permai Polyclinics Kota Kinabalu is the first clinic in Sabah to achieve the ISO 9001:2008 Certification, Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai said.
He said, it is a significant achievement for Permai Polyclinics as the ISO 9001:2008
is implemented by over a million organisations in 176 countries and
they are the first clinic is the region to implement it.
“I believe that Permai Polyclinics has endeavoured to put in place a
quality management system to measure and improve customer satisfaction
and to drive continuous improvement of all the clinic processes,” Yee
said.
Yee said this at the certificate presentation ceremony, here,
yesterday. Also at the ceremony were Permai Polyclinics Legal Advisor,
Mary Gomez, President, Normah Datuk Hj Osman, Group CEO, Margaret Lim and others.
He added, as patients’ expectations rise, healthcare providers have to be more sensitive to the patients’ health needs
“Private medical clinics such as Permai Polyclinics need to
consistently meet patients’ requirements and expectations through
delivery of quality healthcare,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Permai Polyclinics, Dr James Jeremiah in his speech said, they have passed the ISO test and awarded the certification on 27 August 2012.
“It is my hope that we ensure a continuous delivery of quality
services and health products to meet our clients’ needs. We want our
patients and clients to benefit from the best quality healthcare
provided by the Permai Clinics Group,” he said.
