Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) have joined the ranks of many organization in expressing their gratitude to the security forces by making generous donations to the Lahad Datu Heroes Fund.
SEDCO chairman Datuk Mohd
Arifin Mohd Arif, who handed over the cheque of RM50,000 to NSTP regional head Datuk Johniston Bangkuai (on behalf of Media Prima) at SEDCO building said that the role and contribution of
the security personnel in ensuring security and stability was
priceless.
Arifin said that the donation was just a small
but sincere gesture to express recognition and appreciation towards the
security forces, especially those who had sacrificed their lives to
ensure the country remained peaceful and safe for people and businesses; security instability would scare investors away and badly hurt the economy.
Quoting Arifin: "Peace
is vital, for without it everything else that we have will be
meaningless.”
