IGP: Objective Achieved!

As the event that has transpired today, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar flanked by Chief of Defence Forces Gen Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin informed those present at the news conference that operation code-named "Ops Sulu" HAD ACHIEVED IT'S OBJECTIVES. As the Offonsice is currently on going, Ismail has expressed his confidence on that the combined might of the security forces will subdue the rag-tag army of the self-styled Sultanate. 

In the course of the offensive:


  • NO civilian within the immediate vacinity.
  • NO injuries or casualties suffered by our securuty forces up to date, 
  • commandos, soldiers and General Operations Force policemen are deployed to undertake a mopping-up exercise and search several houses in the area.


Ismail too have cautioned all parties to refrain from making any speculation on the operation, particularly in terms of casualties as inaccurate news can undermine the ongoing operation.
