Chief Minister Musa Aman Stance On The Semporna Incident

Three weeks into the armed intrusion of the 'militants' under the self-styled Sultan of Sulu which has breached the sovereignty of our state and nation, an ambush was staged while the police made attempt to capture a small pocket of men believed to have linked to the militants. As dusk began to set in the land below the wind, there are many wide spread news of both speculative and contradicting in nature to bury the actual events. 

With the current events that has transpired  in Semporna, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman has issued a statement pertaining the on-going matter. He has personally monitors the situation alongside with the Minister of Internal Affairs as well as the Minister of Defense in the surrounding region of Lahad Datu. 

From an operational stand point, the current and future development of situation statewide  has been a joint coordinated effort by the Chief Minister, the Police Inspector General and the Commander In Chief of the Arm Forces.  

Having contacted the Prime Minister last night, the Prime Minister has assured the Chief minister and has agreed to bolster the number of both military and police personnel and affirmed that the security of Sabah has always been the TOP PRIORITY.

Kenyataan Ketua Menteri Sabah Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj Aman: Dengan perkembangan terbaru di Semporna, saya bersama-sama Menteri Dalam Negeri dan Menteri Pertahanan sedang memantau keadaan semasa kawasan-kawasan selain daripada Lahad Datu. Dari sudut operasi pula, gerakan memantau keadaan diseluruh Sabah sedang dilakukan bersama Ketua Polis Negara dan Panglima Tentera. Saya juga telah berhubung dengan Perdana Menteri malam tadi dan Perdana Menteri telah bersetuju kekuatan polis dan dipertingkatkan. Perdana Menteri memberi jaminan bahawa keselamatan dan keamanan negeri Sabah sentiasa menjadi keutamaan. Saya juga telah berhubung dengan pemimpin tempatan di kawasan-kawasan tersebut dan saya yakin mereka mampu mengawal sentimen dan mengelakkan khabar-khabar angin yang boleh memudaratkan keadaan.
