WORLD-CLASS: Unique culture a big draw, says CM

RANAU: SABAH'S tourism industry has grown rapidly and is a major contributor to the state's economy, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said yesterday.
He said Sabah boasted world-class natural beauty and world heritage sites which had made the state a popular destination.
"The uniqueness of the culture and customs of the ethnic groups is also growing to be an important asset," said Musa in his speech at the launch of the Ranau District Kaamatan Festival celebration at the Ranau community hall, here.
His speech was read by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai.

ReplyDeleteWe can't denied about this..Tourism is one of the benefit income for Sabah. Every year the amount of tourist will be increase. So state govt need to open more place to be attraction for tourist come to Sabah. Another factor prevent the entry is the flight direct to Sabah. Because some need to transit from KLIA first before come to Sabah. So open more direct flight to Sabah from international.
ReplyDeleteand the good news about Malaysia tourism industry is, according to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) barometer, Malaysia made it into the top 10 countries with the highest international tourist arrivals last year. it secured the 9th position, up two notches from the previous year. in the Asian market, Malaysia ranks second after China in terms of tourist arrivals..
