MoU helps to address human capital devt needs – CM

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman is pleased that the Sabah Economic 
Development and Investment Authority (SEDIA) is taking another step in 
further addressing the state’s needs in the aspect of human capital development.

The step he spoke about was the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) 
between SEDIA and Institute Skill-Tech in the area of training entrepreneurs 
in agriculture development and related industries under the Sabah Development 
Corridor (SDC).

“I hope this initiative will boost the development of more Small and Medium
 Entreprises (SMEs) in Sabah,” Musa said in his speech at the launching of a 
seminar on promoting SMEs and Entrepreneur Development in Sabah during 
the signing ceremony. The text of his speech was delivered by Deputy Chief 
Minister cum Infrastructure Development Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin 
Kitingan who also witnessed the signing ceremony.

   the state economy. Through the focus given by the government, small 
   and medium industries will continue to develop. It is also able to create 
   employment opportunities.

SMEs should build human capital and embrace technologies and innovation in their current business and manufacturing processes to create value for their stake-holders.. this would increase the income of Malaysian workers in the long run, which would in turn attract human talents into business.
